Exchanges & Returns

RETURNS & EXCHANGES POLICY

We want you to be happy with your purchase and we apologize if you are not.

*Due to the handmade nature of our products and limited stock quantities, we can unfortunately not exchange your product for a different size, as size availability cannot always be guaranteed.

*You are welcome to return your product if you are not happy, Moon Child Babywear regrettably does not do any cash refunds, but will gladly give store credit. Kindly note that you will be responsible for all courier fees when returning an item.

We would be happy to provide refunds / accept returns for all items purchased from us if the following conditions are met :

  • Items being returned for refund must have manufacturing faults.
  • All items must be in their original packaging.
  • All items must be unworn, unused, unwashed and in its original condition.
  • Originals receipts/receipt mail/order number would have to be included.

If non of the above conditions are met, we regret to inform that we are unable to process any claims for refunds/returns.

Sales item(s) are non-exchangeable nor returnable either in our retail store or via our online portal.

1. VALIDITY FOR EXCHANGES & RETURNS

All returns need to be raised within 7 days of purchase. All requests for returns would need to be made via email on orders@moonchildbabywear.com and further instructions will be given.

1.1 You will need to include your original invoice together with the item(s) in its original condition and packaging.

1.2 Kindly e-mail us your exchange request to orders@moonchildbabywear.com

1.3 Wait for our e-mail confirmation and the process to return your purchased item.

1.4 If the return is not a fault from Moon Child Babywear, a fee of R200 will be required for the courier pickup and re-delivery.

1.5 All communication furthermore will happen via e-mail.

2. OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS

2.1 We reserve the right and full discretion to disqualify you from enjoying free returns if the subsequent item(s) for return are of the same item(s) as a previous order

2.2 Our returns policy does not cover damage resulting from unique, accidental, or random damage that is the result of use by you or wear and tear of a product.

2.3 Moon Child Babywear makes no warranty in respect of any product, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, quality, compliance with description and fitness for a particular purpose

2.4 Such returns are at all times governed by the provisions of the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act of South Africa

2.5 All decisions made by Moon Child Babywear is final

3. SIZING AND COLOUR

Please remember that that some fabrics are tight, some are stretchy or soft. Some clothing items will sit more loose than others. If you are unsure about the size you want to purchase, please ask at hello@moonchildbabywear.com

3.1 Why does the colour of my product differ from the colour of the products on the website?

Our products images are all taken by a professional photographer, sometimes web colours can differ from what's on display and what you hold in your hand. Please keep this in mind if there is a slight colour difference to what you saw online.

Here at Moon Child Babywear, we appreciate you and we really do want to help you.

However, if you send back items for returns that has clearly gone on one too many adventures and is not suffering from a manufacturing fault, we regretfully won’t be able to help fix them.

Shipping and Delivery

1. SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY

At Moon Child Babywear, we provide FREE delivery on all orders over R1000 (R99 otherwise) to any address within South Africa. However, do note that we do not deliver to PO Boxes, military and restricted areas.

We can deliver internationally, but you will have to arrange that with us via email and if you’re a store or distributor in any other country. Feel free to contact us about wholesale on hello@moonchildbabywear.com and we’ll get back to you.

2. ORDER STATUS & TRACKING

All orders are hand made and we keep a limited amount of stock due to the exclusivity of our products. If any items are available on backorder they will take between 15 and 20 working days to complete and we try our best to stick to these standards. If there are complications regarding the lead-time we will inform you.

Once the order has been dispatched, an email confirmation will be sent to you with the tracking number. You may check and track the delivery status of your orders with our local logistics partner, with your provided tracking number. Please provide your contact number under the address selected upon checkout in order for the courier company to contact you in case of any unforeseen circumstances.
